Dobrý den, priatelia, ked sme teraz?
In a land where suddenly we don't understand a word! (Except that the people here are kind and are eager to speak German or English with us.)
A capital city where people have fun, cafes on sunny streets, buskers trying their luck regardless of their musical skills (!), top class musicians giving free open air concerts, a functioning network of cycle paths despite overwhelming construction work on most of the roads.
And where the Polish Pied Piper brings laughter and smiles to all as he entertains the children in front of the National Theatre and earns the money to travel home to his sister's wedding and next year, maybe, to the south of France.
Here too is peace and quiet in the marina known far and wide as 'Dodo's', but now run by his wife Eliska.
We are in Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia. Can you believe it? We are less than 200 kilometers from Budapest, our goal for this year. Sulina and we have made quite a trip from Datteln to Straßburg to Bratislava, altogether just over 2000 kilometers so far!
