Speyer, Worms and Mainz
At last it felt like the leisurely holidays we had dreamed of were beginning.
We would motor for a few hours, pull into a marina or somewhere we could tie on and then go into the town for some sightseeing or to buy food or essentials for the boat. Johannes was able to start sketching, trying out and practising to find the style he liked, and improving all the while. What better place to begin than the three Romanesque 'Emperor's' cathedrals of Speyer, Worms and Mainz.
